The Keketohai International Ski Resort in Xinjiang has officially opened for the 2024-2025 snow season. Although the opening this year came nearly a month later than last year, the quality of the snow is reportedly better, leading to an even more delightful skiing experience.
On October 22, at 11 a.m., the atmosphere at the resort was electric, with excited voices filling the air. Lines had already formed at the ski lifts, as skiing enthusiasts donned vibrant ski outfits, their faces alight with anticipation and joy.
“I’m just thrilled to see the snow! It’s a stunning white blanket everywhere,” said Wang Yuran, a beginner skier visiting from Shangrao City in Jiangxi Province, who was there with her daughter. “The scenery here is truly mesmerizing.”
Another skier from Shandong, who shared a gondola with a reporter, commented on the unexpected crowd, highlighting the popularity of the resort.
According to staff at the resort, daily visitor numbers have exceeded 3,000 since the opening.
Set within the picturesque Keketohai National 5A Scenic Area in Fuyun County, the Keketohai International Ski Resort boasts 80 ski runs spanning a total of 121 kilometers and an impressive snow season lasting up to 240 days.
