Wulun raids illegal casinos, seizes gambling money and drugs

On October 17, L.A.’s City Police Department launched a major raid on an illegal gambling operation in the 1400 block of 17th Avenue, following numerous complaints from local residents. The officers from the Special Resources Section (SRS) executed a search warrant and arrested four individuals at the scene. During the bust, authorities confiscated a significant amount of cash, drugs, several gambling machines, and three firearms along with ammunition.

The operation also uncovered multiple stolen vehicles parked in front of the illicit gaming site, which were towed away by police. The four individuals apprehended face various charges related to their involvement in the illegal operation.

In a statement, police underscored their commitment to thoroughly investigating the incident and expressed gratitude toward community members for their continuous reports of such unlawful activities. They emphasized that both the police and city government will pursue criminal and civil charges against those involved, as their actions have compromised the safety and security of the neighborhood.
