On October 25th of this year, we commemorate the 74th anniversary of the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army’s participation in the Korean War. It was 74 years ago when the Volunteer Army, standing firm under the banner of resisting U.S. aggression and aiding Korea, crossed the Yalu River. This brutal conflict saw these brave soldiers shed their blood to defend justice and secure peace.
In honor of this significant occasion, the Central Radio and Television Station’s Tianjin Branch, along with several local organizations – the Tianjin Municipal Internet Information Office, the Tianjin Municipal Veterans Affairs Bureau, and the Tianjin Veterans Caring Association – have collaboratively launched a special program titled “Remarkable Years, Memories of the Nation.” This program aims to recount unforgettable histories, seek out red memories, and pay tribute to our heroic sons and daughters.
Today’s episode features “Remarkable Years, Memories of the Nation | Shen Shujiao: The Reconnaissance Elite on the Korean War Battlefield.” Shen Shujiao served as a reconnaissance soldier on the frontlines, acting as the eyes and ears of the military. He witnessed the sacrifices of his comrades but faced danger without fear, infiltrating enemy lines to gather crucial intelligence that contributed to the success of his missions.
