On October 21, the Official Gazette of the Macao Special Administrative Region published an announcement from the Court of Final Appeal regarding the results of the election for the sixth Chief Executive of the Macao SAR. The announcement confirmed the overall results of the election and declared Ho Iat Seng as the designated Chief Executive.
The election took place smoothly on October 13. Since there were no judicial appeals filed within the statutory period, the Court of Final Appeal confirmed the overall results of the election on October 15, in accordance with Article 95, Clause 2 of the Chief Executive Election Law, as amended by Laws No. 12/2008, 11/2012, 13/2018, and 20/2023.
The total results of the Chief Executive election revealed that there were 400 registered members of the Electoral Committee. Out of these, 398 members cast their votes, with Ho Iat Seng receiving 394 valid votes, which translates to a voting rate of 98.99%. Additionally, there were four blank votes recorded.
