On October 18, during a meeting with representatives from BRICS media at his residence near Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed America’s efforts to curb China’s development. According to a report by the Russian Satellite News Agency, Putin emphasized that these attempts have ultimately backfired on the U.S. economy.
Putin stated, “The effort to restrain China’s development has not only failed but has also hurt the competitiveness of a range of American goods.” He argued that the U.S. trade restrictions on China are not politically motivated but aimed at slowing down China’s economic growth. However, he believes these efforts will be in vain.
He likened this situation to telling the sun not to rise, asserting, “This is impossible. The sun will rise regardless. Economic development follows an objective process influenced by countless factors.”
