On October 17-18, the 4th China-Russia University Intellectual Property Cultural Exchange event took place at Heihe University, attracting participants from 13 universities across both countries, along with representatives from related industries and businesses.
The event was organized by the Heilongjiang Provincial Intellectual Property Office, with Heihe University, Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University, the China (Heilongjiang) Free Trade Pilot Zone Heihe Administrative Committee, and the Heihe Market Supervision Administration serving as co-hosts. The main objective was to deepen collaboration between Chinese and Russian universities in the field of intellectual property and to enhance international cooperation on this vital topic.
During the China-Russia Scholars’ Intellectual Property Exchange Conference, Zhang Tong, the Director of the Law Department at Heihe University’s School of Cultural Tourism, delivered a keynote speech titled “Geographical Indications and Protection of Agricultural Products.” Dr. He Sai from Heilongjiang University presented a speech on “The Politicization of Intellectual Property and Risk Governance,” while Nadezhda Alexandrova Morozova, the chief expert in patent law from Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University, discussed “Innovative Development in the Field of Intellectual Property in Amur Oblast.”
The event showcased a total of 162 intellectual property achievements from China and Russia, with Russian contributions accounting for 20%. Among these were notable projects like “Intellectual Property Protects the Health of a Generation” from Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University. Additionally, the event featured the unveiling of the Intellectual Property Service Center for the Heihe Free Trade Zone, among other activities.
